Snowbabies, so the story goes, live in Frosty Frolic Land (really…) where no one ever has to grow up. Sigh. Wouldn't that be nice!
Why are Snowbabies so Popular?
What makes Snowbabies so popular with collectors is that each piece unearths a unique truth about childhood innocence and imagination. You can really see or remember your own children getting up to the same mischief with the same looks on their faces. In fact, Snowbabies creator Kristi Jensen Pierro finds the inspiration for her designs from watching kids just being kids.
For example, in “Lets Just Open One” new for 2005 in the Snowbabies The Gift of Christmas Collection, two curious tots decide whether to open “just one’ of the wonderfully wrapped gifts under the tree. I’m sure I’ve witnessed the exact same scene every year at our house with our boys.
Snowbabies ornaments figurines are fun to collect. Like the other Department 56 products, new Snowbabies are released each year and others discontinued.
