Dept 56 Backdrops, Ready-to-Go Mountains, Roads, and Platforms
While there’s no end of ideas for creating village displays on table tops, mantels, or bookcases, sometimes you’re just stuck for something more.
You can't have a Christmas Village without the houses, but I feel that the time you put into finding the right accessory that compliments your village makes it special and yours. You also don't have to use D56 accessories for your entire village. Other companies make accessories that will be find and you might find more selection for what you are looking for.

Layered Platforms
Platforms are useful for displaying buildings at different heights. You can create the same interest using books, jars, boxes, but Department 56 has several ready-made platforms available. These platforms come in several pieces and can be stacked to add height to your display.
